The Art of Giving is the new exhibition which opened Friday at Gary Francis Fine Art, in Alameda. It is a strong show, full of varied and excellent pieces, different medias and styles. Mostly all local contemporary artists, it is a fine representation of talent – every piece brought something new and interesting to the table. The space was jam packed, in a good way – from a neon blue fuzzy clock to a gorgeous pair of 1960′s pop art paintings, cut-out stand-up books to lovely little landscapes of local scenes.
Exhibition Dates: November 6th – December 24th, 2013
Gary Francis Fine Art is a new space which opened in October, the vision of artist Gary Comoglio and his wife, Kavita. They share a love of the Bay Area and a passion for the arts. It is their goal to showcase and celebrate the fine art of the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to the exhibition space, GFFA provides consulting services to help new and emerging collectors of any age, who are interested in creating a personal collection.
“A gift of art is a timeless remembrance of the joy, love, exuberance, passion, admiration, faith, humor, inspiration, victory, thankfulness, and beauty – experienced and shared. Art nourishes our hearts and lifts our souls.”
