A show of new Ray Caesar works opens tonight at Gallery House in Toronto and we had to share his stunning fresh artworks with you. We are die-hard Ray fans and his surreal, rosy skinned, sensuous and tentacled beauties are lusted after from afar. If you’ve followed Eclectix then you’re familiar with Ray, we’ve featured his art more than a few times. (The above piece brought to mind our favorite Cake song - Short Skirt, it easily would be a perfect album cover, she is definitely capable of picking up slack!)
The exhibition is titled Miles To Go Before I Sleep and it is a group show – with a killer line-up of artists, not to be taken lightly - featuring Ray Caesar, Gottfried Helnwein, Catherine Howe, and Anita Kunz. It is also the grand opening of Gallery House’s new brick and mortar space. Miles to Go Before I Sleep is an homage to a Robert Frost poem; like the poet the artists’ works in this exhibit alludes to the surface of beauty; entices us with dark depths of interpretation and the unwillingness to give up.
Opening Reception: Nov. 29th, 2012, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. RSVP to email@example.com
