The Art of Bjork, Selected Images

With the release of Bjork’s newest album Vulnicura, comes another dramatically flamboyant image of the muse herself, adding to the plethora of art surrounding her. Everyone’s favorite little eclectic elf, with her imaginative sounds and inventive visual explosions has quite a portfolio of eclectic personas. We thought a compilation of our favorite images would be a feast of eye candy for us, as well as a rewarding homage  to the punky diva herself.

Richard Butler - Eclectix

Richard Butler’s Hatful of Rain is currently on exhibit at Freight & Volume in NYC. Best known as the lead singer of the wonderful 1980′s band The Psychedelic Furs (on our stereo in heavy rotation for a long time…), Richard is also a painter. Many artists cross over to different artistic pursuits and there are many rockers who double as visual artists…

While researching our prior birthday Bowie post, we also discovered a book of photography - Station To Station,  by Geoff MacCormack - a mate of Bowie’s from back in the day. A long-time friend of Bowie since their schooldays in Bromley, Warren Peace (initially as GA MacCormack) contributed backing vocals to a number of albums, beginning with Aladdin Sane in 1973 and continuing through to Station to Station in 1976.
