Tuco Amalfi - Eclectix art

Visionary Art: Tuco Amalfi

We fell in love with the visionary art of Tuco Amalfi – dreamlike and full of psychedelic light, bursting with vibrant colors. It sends us into spiritual oblivion with lovely hallucinations – spirals of geometric patterns cast themselves onto cerebral landscapes. Art which transcends the physical world and portrays a wider vision of awareness including spiritual or mystical themes… otherworldly botanicals which beg us to jump in and take a trip.

passion for frida sanchez

The Passion for Frida exhibition opened last Saturday to a super packed house in the beautiful and bright new space – known as Sanchez Contemporary. We love and obsess over all things Frida Kahlo and the amount of dynamic, passionate and inspired imagery honoring Frida in this show are terrific. We’ve selected a few of our favorite artworks here – this is definitely a must see exhibition!

Kohei Nawa - Eclectix art

Featured Artist: Kohei Nawa

Japanese artist Kohei Nawa has created a surreal and magical installation titled “Foam”, full of floating clouds in the middle of darkened rooms. Impossibly lovely, they conjure up a nebulous heaven – and like an angel, the viewer can walk through them.

david seidman - eclectix art

Featured Artist: David Seidman

We don’t feature a lot of digital art here at Eclectix, but when we do it’s full of original creativity and imagination that cannot be denied. David Seidman’s art is all that and more – a feast of dark and pop surrealism which inspire beautiful meanderings of the eye. His marriage of all the techniques modern-day technology and old school classicism has to offer, result in phantasmagorias worthy of swoons.

ct nelson - eclectix

Painter CT Nelson creates fantastic surreal worlds, partly abstracted and partly illustrative – with his more recent works leaning towards less definitive imagery. Channeling visions of science fiction, historical events, trippy hallucinations and vortex swirling motions of weather patterns – his paintings mesmerize and pull you in.

Natalya Burd - Eclectix

Featured Artist: Natalya Burd

Working in ink and metallic paint on paper, Natalya Burd creates subtle landscapes which hint of ancient daguerreotypes and traditional Asian landscapes. With the barest suggestions of human forms and shapes looming forth from muted haze – they are beautifully lustrous works recording barbaric history within a timeless and forgiving resolve.
